Prograde Metabolism
Prograde Metabolism is a weight loss pill that claims to be above all the deceptive advertising of the world of weight loss pills, but manages to also make a smorgasbord of bold claims like
- “You can re-shape your body easier than you ever thought possible.”
- “Get lean, toned, beautiful muscle even in your trouble spots … no matter how many time you’ve failed before.”
- “Get rid of your belly fat once and for all!”
Yes, due to what “may be the most important discovery for weight loss in the last 50 years” you will “soon fit easily into your skinny jeans and slinky hot dress.” Sounds too good to be true right?
Well, don’t worry, it is. Prograde Metabolism has a pretty generic weight loss pill formula that can actually help you lose some extra weight, but doesn’t really justify the price they’re asking.
What’s in Prograde Metabolism?
Aside from a few B vitamins and some biotin, Prograde Metabolism contains two proprietary blends which conveniently mask exactly what dose of each ingredient you’re getting. The convention typically goes that the first ingredients listed are the ones in the largest doses, so we at least have some idea, but it still isn’t clear.
- Prograde Metabolism Blend – 1955 mg:
- Caffeine Anhydrous – the most common and inexpensive of the thermogenics, caffeine may be cheap but its effective.
- Green Tea Extract 98% – a source of more caffeine and antioxidants.
- L-Arginine AKG 2:1 – very little evidence as a muscle growth stimulator
- Cinnamon Bark – works as an antioxidant and antiseptic, and may also increase insulin sensitivity to support healthy blood sugar
- L-Tyrosine – used by the body to make norepinephrine and dopamine but isn’t known to have any effect on mood. One study is cited suggesting it may slightly reduce food intake and increase calorie burn.
- Capsaicin – a natural thermogenic that can slightly elevate body temperature to burn extra calories
- Ultra CID Blend – 210 mg:
- DL-Methionine – promotes a healthy liver.
- Inositol – claimed to promote fat burn, but not proven to do so.
- Choline Bitartrate – also claimed to help increase calorie expenditure, though studies don’t yet confirm this.
Is Prograde Metabolism Safe?
Generally there are no serious health risks with the ingredients in Prograde Metabolism, but it isn’t exactly “side effect free” as claimed. With a heavy dose of caffeine, you may experience headache, nausea, restlessness, anxiety and have trouble sleeping if you take it later in the day.
How Much is Prograde Metabolism?
One bottle of Prograde Metabolism can be purchased for $40 and free shipping, but LOOK OUT – this will sign you up for an auto-ship program where you’re automatically sent more and charged full price after 30 days. If you just want to try one months supply, its $50 plus shipping and though they say there is a 60-day “satisfaction guarantee”, it really only applies to orders which haven’t actually been opened. If you do actually try Prograde Metabolism and feel ripped off, there is no recourse.
Are There Any Cons to Prograde Metabolism?
- No real satisfaction guarantee
- Inexpensive ingredients but a relatively high price
Is Prograde Metabolism Worth Purchasing?
The bottom line is that Prograde Metabolism isn’t too bad of a product if you have realistic expectations about taking generic weight loss pills. The caffeine and green tea will boost your metabolism and you’ll burn some extra calories, but it doesn’t target specific fat areas and you’ll only lose weight if you’re also restricting your diet and working out hard. While their claims are ridiculous, its the lack of a satisfaction guarantee that really makes us think Prograde Metabolism isn’t worth buying.
