Rose Aroma Wrap

rose aroma wrapRose Aroma Wrap is a flowery-smelling body wrap treatment from the British company Slimming Solutions that claims to help you “lose belly fat within 60 minutes.” It is also claimed to be effective for:

  • Re-toning and tightening loose skin
  • Promoting instant inch loss
  • Reducing the appearance of stretch marks and unsightly cellulite

When you consider that you are basically soaking cloth in mud and wrapping that around your belly, it sounds pretty damn far-fetched. While some have supposedly seen temporary results, we are highly skeptical that Rose Aroma Wrap would ever be a good alternative to quality weight loss pills or that it would be worth paying the extra pounds (pounds sterling) to ship it over to the US.

What’s in Rose Aroma Wrap?

Each Rose Aroma Wrap kit comes with:

  • 2 stretchy cloth bandages
  • 8 packets of a “naturally formulated sea clay infused with essential oils of rose”
  • Instruction materials

While Slimming Solutions doesn’t reveal the “special formula” for their clay packets, typically these types of treatments use bentonite clay and some type of salt.  The way this works is by a principle you may remember from school: osmosis.  Yes, despite the claims that this is not a “water loss” product, there is no other way to shrink your skin.  After all, its 90% water.  The fact that Slimming Solutions claims you can lose belly fat is absolute lies.

So, as we were saying, you place this highly concentrated mineral wrap on your skin and some of the water held in and between your skin cells flows out to it to restore an osmotic balance. As the water leaves, the skin is slightly compressed. The company claims its removing “toxins that live in and around your fat cells” but if you tested the fluid in the wraps after using Rose Aroma Wrap, you’d find nothing but water and minerals, maybe some oils and proteins.

This will not promote weight loss and after a few days the interstitial fluid in your skin will be restored and you’ll be back to the same size waist or thigh, or whatever part of your skin you treated.

Is Rose Aroma Wrap Safe?

You should not use Rose Aroma Wrap if you suffer from emphysema, phlebitis, if you are pregnant or if you are at risk for blood clots as the compression of the skin may irritate and restrict veins and bloodflow.

Otherwise there shouldn’t be any problems with using the Rose Aroma Wrap treatment a few times every once in a while, but it isn’t good for your skin to use repeatedly.  If you have sensitive skin you should test a small amount of the clay on it before applying the wrap completely.

How Much is Rose Aroma Wrap?

One Rose Aroma Wrap kit, which can be used 8 times, sells for 40 GBP (about $64) and if you are buying it in the USA you will have to pay the 11 GBP ($17.50 ) shipping cost.  As it is, there is no satisfaction guarantee offered with the Rose Aroma Wrap.

Are There Any Cons to Rose Aroma Wrap?

  • Very expensive ($80+ if you live in the US)
  • Temporary “inch” loss, NOT fat loss
  • No clinical evidence it works and no satisfaction guarantee

Is Rose Aroma Wrap Worth Purchasing?

Considering you’re probably here looking for a way to cut down on your body fat and get healthier, we can say with certainty that Rose Aroma Wrap is not going to work for you.

It may be tempting to believe that you can simply “draw out” the belly fat with a poultice, but that’s not science, it’s just deceptive advertising. If you have the extra $80 lying around and like trying new things, then go for it, otherwise we’d say your money is better spent with weight loss pills that can help suppress your appetite and burn more caloreis.
