The Master Cleanse

The Master Cleanse is a three step process to cleanse the body of toxins. It should not be thought of as a long term weight loss solution, but it can help you lose a few pounds of water weight in the short term.

If you want to try the Master Cleanse, there are two routes. You can buy all of the ingredients on your own, which will be cheaper. Or you can buy the Master Cleanse kit, which is more expensive but easier.

The first step of the Master Cleanse is the “Ease in.” In it, you basically stop eating any processed foods. It helps prepare you for the shock to your diet in step 2. Step 2 is called “The Lemonade Diet.” Your diet consists primarily of lemonade. Even if you like lemonade, after a day or two you will learn to hate it.  This step traditionally lasts 2 weeks if you can stand it. The last step is “ease-out.” It is basically the same as “ease in” but in reverse. You let your body get used to normal food again.

Does the Master Cleanse really work?

The Master Cleanse does a fairly good job at eliminating toxins from the body. An effective detoxification system probably will do more for you as far as cleansing the system.

Master Cleanse Side Effects

Common side effects of the Master Cleanse include crankiness and lack of energy. Be sure to be close to a restroom as loose bowel movements are typical.
